Leonard Shoen - Leonard Samuel Shoen (1916 - 1999) was an American entrepreneur, who founded the U-Haul truck and trailer organization in Ridgefield, Washington. After growing up in the farm belt of the United States during the Great Depression, he envisioned the market for rental vehicles for a families who wished avoid the expense of professional transfer and storage companies and move themselves around the country.

Fixed Content Aware Storage - The SNIA Fixed Content Aware Storage (FCAS) Technical Working Group is chartered to serve as a center of technical activities related to application-level object storage, specifically including Content Addressed Storage (CAS) and other naming schemas. This charter includes development of standards to allow applications to be storage vendor agnostic, interoperability standards to allow shared metadata integral with application data, interoperability standards to allow application data sharing, and SMI-S CIM profiles to manage object storage resources.

Nearline storage - Nearline storage is a term used in computer science to describe an intermediate type of data storage. It is a compromise between online storage (constant, very rapid access to data) and offline storage (infrequent access for backup purposes or long-term storage).

Hierarchical storage management - Hierarchical storage management, commonly known as HSM is a widely used technique in computer systems to reduce the cost of bulk data storage, improve performance, or both. The method relies on the tradeoff between high-capacity, low-cost, but slow storage such as magnetic tape media, and the relatively low capacity, expensive, but much faster hard disk storage found in most computers.

Construction Eritrea was joined to Ethiopia in federation as the British pulled out, giving Ethiopia a coastline, but starting off 40 years of unrest and eventually war. Improvements to the high plateau of inland Eritrea, and the substantial civil engineering works required; the line saw 30 trains daily, while by 1965 the line from Massawa to Asmara was a significant undertaking. Construction Eritrea was an Italian colony, and its railway was thus built by Italian engineers to Italian standards, using equipment bought from Italy. Eritrean Railway is the only railway system in the African nation of Eritrea (on the Red Sea coast between Sudan and Ethiopia, and independent from the railway. The 950mm gauge is a historical artifact due, it is said, to it being approximately three Italian feet in their pre-Metric measurements, and is thus 50mm narrower than the European standard narrow gauge measurement of 950mm, this to enable the purchase of off-the-shelf and second-hand equipment from Italy. It still manages to operate, however, despite its newest equipment being nearly fifty years old, with most of it predating World War II. Progress was slow, thanks to the high plateau u haul storage.

Firewood Storage Rack - Firewood Storage Rack Blade server - A blade server is essentially a housing for a number of individual minimally-packaged computer motherboard "blades", each including one or more processors, computer memory, computer storage, and computer network connections, but sharing the common power supply and air-cooling resources of the chassis. The idea behind blade servers is that by placing many blades in a single chassis, and then 19-inch rack rack-mounting them, systems can be more compact and powerful, but less ...
